Choosing a size when buying shoes can be a headache. Since you can't try the product on your feet, you run the risk of choosing the wrong size. However, at Pisaverde, we can help you avoid that problem. To get started, we recommend taking a tape measure, a piece of paper, and a pencil to follow the steps below.
1. Place the sheet of paper on the floor against a wall.
2. Place your feet together on top of the sheet of paper, pressing your heels against the wall.
3. Mark with the pencil as far as your longest finger reaches.
4. Take the sheet of paper and measure the distance from the edge to the pencil mark.
5. Finally, you can calculate the size yourself or check it in our tables.
Calculate your size:
Once you have your foot measurement in centimeters (cm), you should leave a 1 cm safety margin so that the shoe doesn't fit too tightly. Therefore , if following the steps above gives you a measurement of 25.3 cm, you would add 1 cm and get 26.3 cm.
To definitively calculate your size, multiply your measurement by 1.5. Continuing with the example, this would be 26.3 x 1.5 = 39.45. So your size would be 39.45. In this case, we would recommend a size 40 to prevent the shoe from being too tight on your foot.
Considerations to keep in mind:
- It is important to measure your foot at the end of the day, when it will be most expanded due to the day's workload.
- If you're looking for summer shoes, it's advisable to measure your bare foot. If you're looking for winter shoes, however, you should measure your foot with socks on.
- As we've mentioned, if your foot measurement doesn't fit exactly to a size, it's best to go with the next size up.
- There is always some variability in sizes between different footwear brands. In our case, because our manufacturing process is not industrialized, there may be some variations. So, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us .
